Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. You might like to start by reading the tutorial and introducing yourself at the new users page. For ideas of what to put on your user page, see Wikipedia:User page.

If you have any questions, you can ask at the help desk or on my talk page. Two useful tips are that you can sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) and you can preview your changes before you save using the show preview button. You can regularly find new tips on the Community Portal. I look forward to reading your great articles and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. :) Angela. 03:15, Apr 25, 2004 (UTC)

Hmm... not sure why I didn't fix that. Ordinarily, I leave an invitation to fix it on the talk page and come back in twenty-four hours to do it myself if the anon doesn't. Must've been a breakdown in the system.... Tuf-Kat 13:06, Apr 30, 2004 (UTC)

That term isn't really specific...any "higher level" courses for elementary or middle school children in America, Canada, the UK, etc. can be (and are) called gifted and talented. I know my school's gifted program was called that, and we're not in Western Australia. (I'm in Florida, USA.) Maybe this should get a rewrite with all the info in it, and the West Aus thing gets a passing mention. Mike H 03:36, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)

  • Just following the format of Academic Talent Program. Secfan 03:38, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
    • It is worth noting that the term is quite generic, though. :-) Mike H 03:40, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
      • Okies, maybe I expand those articles soon to be more specific :) Secfan 03:41, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)

Please stop adding the Commonwealth template to country articles. Wikipedia:WikiProject Countries has decided that these do not belong. - SimonP 17:50, Dec 3, 2004 (UTC)

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

Thanks for leaving me a message, your'e doing a great job with the internet TLD's all over wikipedia!
I think that totally undeliberatly you put the reference of .PS in the State of Palestine article. Since you're not familiar with the situation.

The Palestinians & Israelis signed a joint peace agreement back in September 1993. Under that agreement, a institute called "Palestinian National Authority" (or more commonly just "Palestinian Authority") was established. This is a semi-autonomous body that rules on the area allocated to by the agreements. Please refer to Palestinian Authority article for more details of this body.

Under that agreement, the U.N bodies allocated the PS code to the Palestinian Authority; 970 telephone code (please look!) to the Palestinian Authority; also, .PS TLD was later registerd to it. The Registeries might sometime suggest "Palestinian Territories" as the name of which the code was assigned to; but that's only to avoid political sensitivities. Please look in Palestinian Territories for more info of this term. (go to "Meaning of the Term")

The last but most important thing you should know- the Palestinian leadership "declared" a "state" back in 1988, at a conference in Tunisia. Of course that this "declaration" has no importance or meaning whatsoever, except maybe symbolic. But this especially after the Oslo Peace agreements in 1993, which "officially" ended the state of ongoing wartime. Anyway, the 1988 "declaration" marked that the area of the "state" to all of Israel(!), with the proclaimed capital being Jerusalem. The article State of Palestine is there because the Palestinian Leadership technically didn't call this off, but of course they have no intrest in having any connection with this declaration (which is equals destruction of Israel = no peace). Try to read State of Palestine details (on the right) - to see it's something irrelevant. If you're adding any information to it, you are giving a legitimacy to something even the Palestinians don't want to have connection to. But moreover- you are adding the details to the wrong article (it should be in Palestinian Authority) - but I guess that's due to lack of knowledge in this subject. VICTOR 00:36, Dec 12 2004 (UTC)

Lines in the template

[edit]

I never wrote the template to use the word line, and removed it when youa dded it because it is fairly obvious by the colour coding from within the articles and the table itself. It also makes the spacing of the page very awkward, and they are generally not necessary and every other station template does not use them. Thanks! Páll 05:39, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I think we should keep the word Rail, more for the fact that when people in Hong Kong talk about the Tung Chung, we don't say "I'm going to take the Tung Chung line to Tsing Yi, we say " I'm going to take the Tung Chung to Tsing Yi," but people say "I'm going to take the West Rail to ..." and we don't say "I'm going to take the West to ...." Anyway, that's my 8 Hong Kong cents. Páll 11:02, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)

No no, I agree with using the word line in the article, which is why its used. The thing about the table is it is just that, a quick and handy reference so it is also important to make sure it is small and compact. I think, as it is a table, the context is clear enough without the word line, especially if we use the colouring. Páll 21:11, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Msh210 00:17, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi Secfan! You've made a large number of valuable contributions to Wikipedia during the past 16 months, and based solely upon edit count you are one of the project's top 100 editors. The template was originally deleted in accordance with a :"delete" vote at Wikipedia:Templates for deletion, as it is no longer used - nor should it be, not even as a redirect. lots of edits, not an admin

Hi - I made a list of users who've been around long enough to have made lots of edits but aren't admins. If you're at all interested in becoming an admin, can you please add an '*' immediately before your name in this list? I've suggested folks nominating someone might want to puruse this list, although there is certainly no guarantee anyone will ever look at it. Thanks. -- Rick Block (talk) 00:36, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed that you made a string of edits to Gunbound (good game, BTW) and while there's nothing wrong with editing, it's considered better to make all your edits in one edit, if that makes any sence. Just though I'd mention it. humblefool® 05:09, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Er, if you look on the record sleeve of The Man Machine or on the animation page for it on http://www.kraftwerk.de you'll find the they don't hyphenate it. You would do well to revert all your Kraftwerk edits back the the correct, unhyphenated spelling. More edits over at Mao Zedong, though not necessarily by this user. Some are ok, but once again Jung Chang's views are being removed because she's "controversial". I'll consider some ammendments later on in the week, so please keep an eye out if they immediately start deleting them again. However I would really appreciate you adding to the debate. I'm tired of people discounting Jung Chang without actually backing up their allegations. Also if you feel you can/should put her views back in, go for it.

Cheers

You should avoid embedding links in section headings (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings)#Links within headings). Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:11, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hi, there. Listen I wouldn't get too excited about Jung Chang as a historian. She wrote a biography, so one can argue she's only a biographer. If it had been about the CCP as a whole, then certainly she would have been a historian.

For now I would just let her be referred to as an author, especially after Slim started getting involved. If you really feel we should list her as a historian I will change my mind and back you up. She still fulfills the description of a historian. However I think that we should not overplay our hand yet. Please could you try to find some articles where she is referred to as a historian, or where her works are referred to as "histories"? Because unless we can do that, we'll just start a revert war with the people who want to undermine her.

By the way, keep up the good work on necessary reverts. Message me if you have any problems John Smith's 30 June 2005 12:45 (UTC)

You created Jong as a redirect to Yang, but gave no reason why (Edit Summary is your friend!). I expanded it to an disambiguation page, so that I could have it link to Erica Jong. A quick google image search suggests that Jong might be a version of Yang (surname), so that's what I guessed, linking to Kim Jong-il as well. It also appears it is much more common as a Northern European surname (de Jong). Since you created the original, I hoped that you might have some insight into the page. Speedy deletion of Ass-bot

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Ass-bot, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

yet another nice redirect

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

A tag has been placed on AssBot, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

another nice redirect?

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 11:07, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Francesca Belperio

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Francesca Belperio, by Thewinchester, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Francesca Belperio seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Francesca Belperio, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Francesca Belperio itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 16:34, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway CD cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway CD cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:41, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Black_Eyed_Peas_-_Dont_Lie_-_CD_cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Speedy deletion of Shut the fuck up

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Shut the fuck up, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. --/\sSb\/TALK/\-- 03:24, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Usher and Alicia Keys - My Boo - CD cover.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:34, 6 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 11:34, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Puckman and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Puckman during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Typo redirect Maroon5

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Maroon5, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Maroon5 is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Maroon5, please affix the template hangon to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Basement Jaxx - The Singles - CD album cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Basement Jaxx - The Singles - CD album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:17, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "prod" template to the article Gröûp X, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Gröûp X

[edit]

An editor has nominated Gröûp X, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gröûp X (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:44, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:D12 - How Come - CD cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rappingwonders (talk) 16:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Nickelback - Curb - CD cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Nickelback - Curb - CD cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Speedy deletion of The Bad Touch

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Bad Touch, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 17:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Crazy Frog - Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits CD cover.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Crazy Frog - Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits CD cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by an adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 16:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Dancing DJs

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dancing DJs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

Tags have been placed on 2 letter acronym, 2 letter combination, 2-letter abbreviation, 2-letter acronym, and 2-letter combination, requesting that they be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because they are redirects to project pages from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirects to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tags. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tags unless you are fixing the redirects. If you think the redirects should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting them. To do this, affix the template hangon to the pages and state your reasoning on the articles' talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- IRP 20:16, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Behind the Sun (Chicane album). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Behind the Sun (Chicane album). A tag has been placed on Chinese Burn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Secfan! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the unreferencedBLP tag. Here is the list:

  1. Courtney Act - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

I have nominated Hot 'n' Juicy, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hot 'n' Juicy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

A tag has been placed on Overtone (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Nomination of 911 (Gorillaz song) for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article 911 (Gorillaz song), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/911 (Gorillaz song) until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Aspects (talk) 05:23, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Meck (musician) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. A tag has been placed on Draft:Roll call requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

The draft page is no longer needed; readers can refer to the article page.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ««« SOME GADGET GEEK »»» (talk) 01:06, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Atsme. Secfan, thanks for creating Lyte Funkie Ones!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Unsourced material is subject to deletion.

Deletion discussion about TVBJ

[edit]

Hello, Secfan,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether TVBJ should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TVBJ .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Roll call, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:33, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DownBall currently redirects to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_square

I've created a disambiguation page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downball

As a suggestion I propose it would be clearer if the the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DownBall was deleted.

As a courtesy to you as the owner of the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DownBall I wanted to run this by you first. If you agree with this suggestion could you please delete en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DownBall

Notice

The article Veges has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I cannot find any references to the Veges last name or to someone with that last name. Fails wp:gng

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:02, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
